Park & Ride

Thanks to the generosity of our community partner, the Corpus Christi RTA, complimentary Park & Ride service will be available for the Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration!

Hours of Operation: Tuesday, July 4 from 10:00 a.m. to Midnight

 

Pick-Up Locations:

Corpus Christi City Hall: 1201 Leopard St.

 

 

Drop-Off Location:

Shoreline Blvd. by the Art Center.

No Parking Areas and Road Closures

The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering office advises residents of the following road closures and no parking areas in preparation for the Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration. No parking areas and road closures will start Tuesday, July 4 at 7:00 a.m.

Shoreline Boulevard:

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Northbound Shoreline Boulevard will be closed between Buford Avenue and IH-37. Traffic traveling northbound on Shoreline Boulevard toward the closure, will detour at Buford Avenue to Water Street. Southbound Shoreline Boulevard will be closed between Resaca Street to Power Street and between IH-37 to Buford Avenue.

Street parking will not be allowed on both sides of Shoreline Boulevard along the street closures and towing will be strictly enforced.

SEA District: (For parade staging only)

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Water Street will be closed between  Resaca Street and at Power Street. Fitzgerald Street and Palo Alto Street will be closed between Chaparral Street and Shoreline Boulevard.

Street parking will not be allowed in the street closures and towing will be strictly enforced.Only residential street parking will be allowed on those streets.

Belden Street and Resaca Street will be the only side streets to allow traffic heading east toward Shoreline Boulevard and the Barge Dock.

North Beach:

Starting at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, the Burleson Street exit on northbound US-181 will be closed. There will be a one-lane closure on southbound US-181.

The Police Department will provide closures and/or alternate traffic routes after the firework display, if necessary, to move traffic out of North Beach and onto the highway.

Parking near the event site is limited so people are encouraged to use the Park and Ride. Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the road closures.

NO PARKING, TOW AWAY ZONES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN ALL AREAS.
