Hazel Bazemore ParkHazel Bazemore Park, a 77.6-acre park located on the banks of the Nueces River. It offers hawk watchers and bird enthusiasts plenty of chances to see nature in action. The park also consists of a wetland pond and woodlands, which offer visitors a chance to see a variety of water-loving birds. A trail with several platforms is located within the park. The platforms provide visitors with excellent views of the wetland pond. Birding kiosks are also spread throughout the park. Since the 1970s, the park has been a prime migratory spot for hawks and hawk watchers. Each spring and fall, birding enthusiasts gather and look to the skies to watch thousands of hawks fly overhead. Hazel Bazemore Park is located at Farm-to-Market 624 at County Road 69.
