Hogs

Hog hunting is one of the most challenging yet exciting forms of hunting. Hog hunting season in Texas is open year round, even at night, and with an abundance of wild hogs, a hunter is almost sure to get a shot. Be sure to have landowners permission to hunt. If hunting at night it is always good practice to give the local game warden a call to make them aware.

The behavior of hogs is much different than most game animals; hogs are very intelligent. This makes the hunt that much more exciting and challenging. Hogs are generally active in the early morning and late afternoon during the winter. Hogs are also nocturnal, for the most part, during the hotter times of the year; making these the best time to hunt hogs during the respective seasons.
