With miles of tidal shoreline, rivers, and streams meandering along the Gulf Coast, paddlers can find the adventure they are looking for in Corpus Christi. Kayaking enthusiasts head to the coast for some of the best paddling trails in the state. You can take lessons, guided trips, or hit the trail for a relaxing paddle down one of the growing list of hot spots. Or pack the rod and reel and chase after tailing redfish or trout. According to the Outdoor Industry Association, kayaking participation nationwide doubled between 1998 and 2004, with recreational and sit-on-top kayaking the fastest growing segment of the sport.
