Where to Go

The Corpus Christi Marina offers stunning panoramic views of both the city skyline and the bay. Our miles and miles of Gulf beaches are bountiful with photographic opportunities. Or hop aboard a Nature Cruise to capture a shot of our countless shorebirds and waterfowl.

Navigate your way to the longest primitive barrier island in the world, Padre Island National Seashore to witness one of nature’s wonders. Gather on the wind-swept beach to watch endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtle hatchlings released into the wild. These tiny creatures make a beeline to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, where they’ll begin a perilous journey to adulthood. A moment like this is sure to be tucked away into the memory book.

Another amazing site to see before you leave the area is the massive hawk migration at Hazel Bazemore County Park from August 15 to November 15 peaking in late September and early October. The sky darkens with more hawks than could be counted in a lifetime, species including Broad-winged Hawks and Mississippi Kites and Peregrine Falcons.
