Port Aransas Ferry
The Port Aransas Ferry runs between 2 and 6 ferries a day and is operated by the Texas Department of Transportation. The ferry is FREE and runs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The short ride connects Mustang Island and Port Aransas to the mainland via Arnasas Pass. Each ferry can hold up to 20 regular passenger vehicles, combined vehicles may not be longer than 80 ft., no wider than 13 ft. or taller than 13 ft. 6 inches. Single-axle vehicles must weigh no more than 20,000 lbs., tandem axles no more than 34,000 lbs. and combined vehicles may not exceed 80,000 lbs.
