Archimedes Educational Cruises
Immerse yourself in hands-on marine science aboard the Archimedes, the Floating Classroom Program’s 57-foot teaching vessel. During a 1 1/2-hour excursion into Corpus Christi Bay, you can participate in collecting and observing marine life from microscopic plankton to adult fish, crabs, and shrimp.Through interactive demonstrations led by a trained education specialist, you will be introduced to concepts such as salinity, density, and heat capacity, while “opportunistic” learning occurs as you observe dolphins, pelicans, and ocean-going ships crossing the bay.
Located In North Beach
Located just across the Harbor Bridge, North Beach is home to two of Corpus Christi’s most popular attractions the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier turned museum. North Beach offers a good variety of places to eat and drink and awesome bayfront views. Sip on a cocktail and dip your feet in the Corpus Christi Bay waters.
