Shortboard

Shortboards are shorter than a longboard, ranging from 5 to 7 feet, thinner, and have a more pointed, upturned nose to prevent it from being buried under the water. There are anywhere from 2 to 4 fins on a shortboard which allow for quick and extreme turns. The shortboard is designed for the surfer who is looking for swiftness, easy turning, and the ability to move up and down a wave with ease.
