Where to Go

We want you to feel like a "local", when you are in search of good waves in Corpus Christi. So we asked the locals to spill the beans. Surfers head to what we call the “Island” for waves! The Island is actually the Upper part of Padre Island which stretches for miles and miles. Waves can get over head high and are usually waist to head high. They're a blast to ride as long as you have the right board and know where to go.

Many locals enjoy riding the waves at the south side of Packery Jetty and Bob Hall Pier. Bob Hall is undoubtedly the most popular place for shortboarders because of the perfect waves that roll through. However longboarders prefer J.P. Luby and the north side of the Packery Jetty.
