While not the OG Whataburger, it’s the closest you can get to this Lone-Star State institution. Located right on Shoreline Blvd. in Downtown, it’s an easy trip from just about anywhere in Corpus Christi. If you’re one of the unlucky few who has never experienced the joys of Whataburger, there’s no better place for your first visit!

Despite their critically endangered status, Kemp’s sea turtles are starting to make a comeback. In 2007, a group of 128 turtles were found along South Padre Island—the most observed in a long, long time. You can attend a hatching event to watch baby turtles make their way to the ocean. Check here for dates and times.
