All Things Selena
Corpus Christi is the city that Selena called home. She is one of the most celebrated Tejano music artists of all-time; and the memory and music of Selena lives on in Corpus Christi! Spend a couple of days immersing yourself in all things Selena while celebrating her life and legacy.
Celebrating the life and legacy of La Reina cannot begin without a visit to THE Selena Museum. The Quintanilla family offers the Selena Museum to fans and friends to celebrate the life and achievements of their beloved daughter. Among the memorabilia throughout the museum, fans can take in the wonder of her GRAMMY award, gaze at the beauty of the most iconic Selena outfits and the glamour of her red Porsche.
Mirador de la Flor
Get your Bidi Bidi Bom Bom on while visiting the larger-than-life-size bronze statue dedicated to honor the Queen of Tejano Music. Located at the corner of Peoples St. T-Head and Shoreline Blvd., the memorial also features a beautiful ceramic tile mural painted by Texas children who love Selena. Enjoy Como La Flor playing on the speakers and the beautiful backdrop of the Corpus Christi Bay while paying homage to Selena at the Mirador de la Flor.
South Texas Walk of Fame
Beautiful ceramic tile stars fill the courtyard of the WaterStreet Market in Downtown Corpus Christi, but none are more beautiful than the one dedicated to the one and only, Selena, on the South Texas Walk of Fame. Take a selfie with the Selena star and grab a commemorative T-shirt from the Executive Surf Club to remember this moment forever...mostly because #SelenaForever.
This dive restaurant is Selena Central in the heart of Selenaville! This long-time local favorite is also a long-time favorite of the Quintanilla family! Photos of the Queen of Tejano are all over the Hi-Ho restaurant in all different sizes. See how many you can find while enjoying the mouth-watering carne guisada or the delicious fideo.
Step into the Selena movie set and do the washing machine! Okay, so it’s not an actual movie set but it is the exact spot where the dancing scene was filmed. Visit Swantner Park located along Ocean Drive and do the washing machine while the warm bay breezes wash over you.
