October 3, 7:30 p.m.
The Department of Music at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi presents the University Orchestra Concert on October 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. They will be performing "Mozart and Beyond: Music Through the Centuries". The event is free and open to the public. 6300 Ocean Dr.
October 6, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The first Friday of every month is FROST FREE FIRST FRIDAY! Enjoy free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe are also open to the public. 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd.
October 6, 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
On the first Friday of every month you’ll find artists, musicians and all things creative converge in the Marina Arts District. It's where Downtown comes alive with bands on every block, food trucks serving up South Texas fare and art galleries featuring local and national artists. Take in the free live music and local flavors outside, find a nice watering hole to duck into for a quick drink or grab a bite to eat. 326 N. Chaparral St.
October 7, 2:00 p.m.-Midnight
Grab your Dirndl and a surf board and head to one of the coolest events in Corpus Christi. Join in on the excitement for Corpus Christi's coastal spin on Oktoberfest-Surftoberfest! A celebration rich in German culture and full of Gulf Coast fun! Event is held behind Water Street Market on Chaparral St. 309 N. Water St.

October 8, 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Experience the Harbor Bridge like never before! Take it head on by walking (or running) over the bridge alongside hundreds of other people. Get that fitness kick started in style and catch the mesmerizing view of the city while you're up there. The walk begins and ends at Heritage Park. Don't forget to stay afterwards and jump into Zumba, Yoga and/or Tai Chi. Get your fitness on at Bridgewalk! Watch Little Shop of Horrors OUTSIDE in the Watergarden! The CC Ride-In Theater encourages the public to "ride in" to see a movie on the lawn. A full bar will be on site provided by Corpus Christi Liquor Catering. On-site food trucks will be available for all your movie munching needs! First created in Austin, TX, Texas Indie Fest brings its focus of "independent performers" back to Corpus Christi for the second annual Texas Indie Fest! Event takes place at Executive Surf Club all weekend long. See artists from all over the area showcasing some of their best music. 309 N. Water St.

The Harte Research Institute is excited to announce the Harte of the Gulf Film Competition, a continuation and renaming of the BLUE Gulf Film Competition. The mission is to engage the Gulf of Mexico Community through education and film and to showcase the work of local filmmakers. Jazz lives in New Orleans, but it spends three days a year vacationing in Corpus Christi! Take in the oldest FREE music festival in the country. The Texas Jazz Festival happening the weekend of October 20-22 at Heritage Park! Enjoy the best food trucks in the Coastal Bend at historic Heritage Park on the last Friday of every month. Dia de los Muertos Street Festival; an explosion of culture that perfectly embodies the core of Corpus Christi's soul. Every Wednesday at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, expect to find a whole lot of produce, breads, cheese, food trucks, music and art at the Downtown Farmers' Market! Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Sailors from all around converge on the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina every Wednesday to set their sails and speed past the competition. We’re well known for being a windy city, after all, so these friendly sailboat races are just another example of what keeps Corpus Christi unique! Don your boat shoes and feel the salty bay breeze on your face as you sail along the marina or camp out on the Corpus Christi Seawall and watch the colorful sails glide across the water.
