Enjoy listening to smooth jazz out on The Gold Fish patio every Thursday night in Downtown Corpus Christi! The Gold Fish has a great and intimate setting to enjoy conversations, craft cocktails and talented musicians explore their art. 724 N. Mesquite St.
October 5, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The first Friday of every month is FROST FREE FIRST FRIDAY! Enjoy free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe are also open to the public. 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd.
October 5, 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
On the first Friday of every month you’ll find artists, musicians and all things creative converge in the Marina Arts District. It's where Downtown comes alive with bands on every block, food trucks serving up South Texas fare and art galleries featuring local and national artists. Take in the free live music and local flavors outside, find a nice watering hole to duck into for a quick drink or grab a bite to eat. 326 N. Chaparral St.
October 6, Noon-9:30 p.m.
Grab your friends and family and head over to Water Street Restaurant's Annual event, Surftoberfest! Surftoberfest is an outdoor fall festival that features, food, LIVE MUSIC, fun for all ages, and of course, lots and lots of BEER! 309 N. Water St.
October 7, 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Experience the Harbor Bridge like never before! Take it head on by walking (or running) over the bridge alongside hundreds of other people. Get that fitness kick started in style and catch the mesmerizing view of the city while you're up there. The walk begins and ends at Heritage Park. Don't forget to stay afterwards and jump into Zumba, Yoga and/or Tai Chi. Get your fitness on at Bridgewalk! October 12, After Dark
Watch Young Frankenstein OUTSIDE in the Watergarden! The CC Ride-In Theater encourages the public to "ride in" on their bikes to see a movie on the lawn. A full bar will be on site and food trucks will be available for all your movie munching needs! Event is totally FREE and held at the Corpus Christi Watergarden. SEE YOU THERE! 1901 N. Check out Shorty's bar in Port Aransas for 35th Annual Pig Party! Experience a day filled with Live Music, Good Times, Good People and some Pig of course. Come on down and kick your heels up at the Oldest and Friendliest bar in Port Aransas, TX.
October 14, 7:30 p.m.
Check out the Corpus Christi Songwriter's "In the Rounds" at Executive Surf Club! Hear from a wide range of local musicians along with this month's featured guest artist is the legendary Michael O’Connor! The South Side Farmers' Market presents their Annual Fall Craft Fair! Join in for a beautiful Saturday *with extended hours* between 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to shop with all the best local farmers & artisans around!
Jazz may live in NOLA, but for three days in October, it takes a little vacation in Corpus Christi at the Texas Jazz Festival. For 58 years, the Texas Jazz Festival Society has brought this great tradition to South Texas. This is a signature event that is not to be missed - October 19-21, from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. October 27, 3:00 p.m.-Midnight
The Dia de los Muertos Street Festival is an explosion of culture that perfectly embodies the core of Corpus Christi's soul. For the 11th year in a row, Dia de los Muertos will bring the streets of Downtown Corpus Christi to LIFE through the colors, music and people. Expect to find sugar skulls everywhere, art vendors lining the streets, music rumbling the ground and lots and lots of culture.
Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Every Wednesday at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, expect to find a whole lot of produce, breads, cheese, food trucks, music and art at the Downtown Farmers' Market! Come out and support our local farmers while tackling your grocery list for the week. Bring the kiddos along for either Family Art Time or the kids activity offered at the market! 100 N. Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Sailors from all around converge on the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina every Wednesday to set their sails and speed past the competition. We’re well known for being a windy city, after all, so these friendly sailboat races are just another example of what keeps Corpus Christi unique! Don your boat shoes and feel the salty bay breeze on your face as you sail along the marina or camp out on the Corpus Christi Seawall and watch the colorful sails glide across the water. Did someone say free yoga? That's right! Every Sunday at the Texas Surf Museum, expect to find yogi's from all over coming together at one of the coolest venues in the city. This is donation based yoga, so bring along a little bit of cash to compensate. See you there, and Namaste. 309 N. Water St.
