Between the Buried and Me
Genre – Progressive Metal
A progressive metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, Between the Buried and Me brings an eclectic live show to House of Rock. From varying tempos and time signatures to electronica influences and electric guitar riffs, one moment the band may play thrash metal and the next they're flowing into death metal growls. Their style can seemingly change in a flash as the lead singer fleshes out his vocals and utilizes the keyboards.
Read Southall Band
Genre – Southern Rock, Crunchy Country
Crafting a sound that draws on everything from blues and metal but with a supremely steadfast and highly excitable punk ethic, Read Southhall hails from Oklahoma and carries a vocal-centric aesthetic, heavy twang and subtle vocal harmonies. Their new project is a dynamic assortment of love, heartbreak, reflection, and party tunes.
Genre – Country Music
A contemporary country artist with a honky-tonk heart and a romantic streak, Bri Bagwell works without a manager or a record contract, earning fans through extensive touring and her independently released recordings. Her country roots combined with acoustic rhythm guitars have helped to make a name for herself in one of the busiest markets for live music in the United States.

Genre – Hip Hop
This open-mic style hip hop showcase has one mission: to foster and grow the hip hop community in Corpus Christi. CC Fridays gather local artists to perform original songs in the heart of downtown at The Exchange. This vibrant youth culture movement prides itself in supporting the local artistic community and creating a space for local arts and live music.
DJ STASH will have you off your feet the minute she steps on stage. This multimedia entertainment force combines house music with originally written and produced dance and pop. STASH is smashing boundaries and grabbing the spotlight as part of a new breed of EDM DJ artists. Her personality is larger than life, with an energy that’s unstoppable. Come dance the night away with this sensational dance/electro pop songwriter, rapper and DJ!
Genre – Country
Ryan’s musical story began in the Lone Star state, his first exposure to music was from his grandfather, who directed the Texas National Guard Band for over 30 years. He became one of Ryan’s biggest musical influences, first learning the clarinet from him – among other instruments. From there, Ryan taught himself how to play the guitar and set himself on a path to bring amazing live music to fans across Texas.
Genre – Norteño
Tejano fan-favorite Siggno is a staple in the Latin music industry – and have a ton of Latin Grammy awards to back up their dominance. Known for their amazing live shows, Siggno’s tight-knit group brings a more pop and rock-laced feel to norteño music. Winner of several Latin Grammy awards, Siggno should be on every music lover’s bucket list to catch. Their energy and passion for the Tejano and norteño genres help keep that unique Texas sound alive.
Tropicoso with El Dusty
Genre – Latin/Cumbia
From catchy hooks with synthetic instrumentation, to Afro-Latin influences and accordions, Tropicoso began with Corpus Christi’s own “El Dusty.” Nominated for a Latin Grammy for his 2016 song “Cumbia Anthem,” El Dusty dropped his first album, “Cumbia City,” the summer of 2018. Spring Break on the Coast with Cody Johnson
Genre – Texas Country
Cody Johnson has been singing and playing guitar since he was 12. He has strong country roots and mixes acoustic and electric instrumentation. His major key tonality and slide guitars; combined with subtle use of vocal harmony at his rowdy concerts, have already drawn comparisons to Garth Brooks. Johnson’s ability to dig into the ache of the sad songs and set a room in virtual flames with angry barn-burners is tied directly to his insistence on channeling his energies into pieces that reflect his real-life experiences. Joining him for Spring Break on the Coast is Kevin Fowler and Randall King.

We Came As Romans
Genre – Metal Core
Their trademark bouncy breakdowns were traded in for radio-rock hooks, We Came as Romans is a great live show for every metal fan. Not only are the lyrics deeply honest, but their eloquence evokes such powerful imagery and feeling that they could strictly be poetry. The demanding instrumental writing pairs well with their vocal harmonies and melodic phrasing. With balladic melodies, ethereal instrumentals and electronic riffs — it’s hard to miss the hard rock roots combined with punk influences. Catch them at House of Rock, a staple venue for rock shows in Corpus Christi.
Genre – Southern Rock
Country rock leanings mixed with acoustic and electric instrumentation would best describe the son of country music star Waylon Jennings Sr. His major key tonality and rhythmic syncopation is distinctive to say the least. He’s been performing since 1996 and is mainly active in outlaw country and Southern rock genres.
at Brewster Street Icehouse
Genre – Folk/Americana/Country
Parker McCollum plays most of the instruments himself and writes most of the songs with a hybrid mix of pop, country, rock and piano-driven soul — but all with great quality and diversity. His satisfying melodies are generating buzz and expanding his appeal to new audiences that his music hugely deserves.
Genre - Reggae
A reggae feel with extensive vamping, The Holdup has boasted modern R&B stylings with hip-hop influences since 2006. As the band began performing their original songs at local venues around San Jose, a fan base developed for their multi-genre music. Fans of Sublime with Rome, The Dirty Heads, Collie Buddz will definitely want to check out this show.

The Beach Boys have birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. Their imprint on the 1960’s and Baby Boomers has left an imprint in United States history and evokes a definitive sense of nostalgia for generations. But their greater significance lies in the fact that The Beach Boys songs have forever changed the musical landscape and have profoundly influenced countless performing artists.
