With miles and miles of beaches to explore, make it a priority to get out and have some fun in the sun!  Calm waves, abundant sunshine and salty air create the perfect combination for wonderful vacation memories. Pick your favorite spot in the sand and stay for a while! Check out some of the awesome Corpus Christi beaches here.

Pro Tip: Adult beverages are allowed, but no glass containers! To become the best beach pro, check this out.

Day Two: Sample the Southside

Start your morning at the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center for all the flora and fauna! With 182 acres of gardens and exhibits, it's easy to lose yourself in nature. Experience trails, birding spots, reptiles and other wildlife throughout the Gardens. Your trip will not be complete without stepping into the fairy tale garden that is The Butterfly House.

In the afternoon, cool off at Bowlero, the newest hot spot in Corpus Christi. The outdoor patio games, laser tag experience and eclectic lounge area prove that this bowling alley is on top of the party game. Grab a bite to eat and watch all the sports while bowling like never before.
Bonus: If your day two is on a weekend, stop in at Lazy Beach Brewing Company for a sampling of local craft beer.

Day Three: Hurricane Alley Water Park

Your Spring Break wouldn't be complete without a waterpark adventure! If adrenaline is what you're after, take a ride on the Cat 5, a thrilling 6-story slide over 65 feet tall, or try your luck on the Shredder, the stand up surf simulator! If relaxation is more your style, swim up to the Riptide Hideaway Bar for a cold beverage or float along the Gulf Stream lazy river. Hurricane Alley Waterpark specializes in all-day fun for the entire family with attractions for all ages!

Day Four: Spend a day on North Beach

Spring Break - Ferris Wheel Fajitaville Image

The USS Lexington Museum and Texas State Aquarium can provide a whole day of fun. Jump aboard USS LEXINGTON to discover history and fun for all ages. Test your skills at the Virtual Battle Stations, get up-close to vintage aircrafts, climb the ladders and walk the narrow passageways of the WWII Aircraft Carrier!

Then check out the 16 different animals you can see and touch every day and immerse yourself in an underwater adventure at the Texas State Aquarium.

Round your day out with a ride on the Ferris Wheel and a bite to eat at Fajitaville on North Beach.

Bonus: Come back during Spring Break 2017 to get a bigger Texas State Aquarium experience... one and a half times bigger, to be exact.

Day Five: Outdoor Adventures

Spring Break - Bumpers boats Funtrackers

With go-karts, batting cages, a ropes course, miniature golf and bumpers boats, Funtrackers has everything you need to get in touch with the little (or big) kid in you! Take a ride on the go-kart Pro Track and head inside for a cold beverage and warm food at the Raceway Cafe.

Spend your evening fishing at Red Dot Pier. No fishing pole? No problem! Rent and buy everything you need to fish at Red Dot Pier. Catch black drum, trout, flounder, red drum and many other varieties of fish off of the pier.

Bonus: If you have some time during the day, stop in typical Spring Break fashion at the "Shark Souvenir Shop," Third Coast Beach Company, on Padre Island to take a picture in the giant mouth of the shark.

Day 6: Spend a day in Downtown

Spring Break - Downtown Corpus Christi

Downtown Corpus Christi is busy with a number of things to do! You may not be able to fit all of these in one day so pick a couple of your favorites...or spend an extra day in Corpus Christi to experience everything!

Make a stop at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History and climb the double helix DNA model, make music on the piano stairway and learn more about science than you ever thought possible in the brand new Science Center at the Museum.

Take a short walk through the Water Gardens to the Art Museum of South Texas, then take a slow walk through the Art Museum to see the latest exhibit, Exploring the Land: Landscapes from the Hunter Museum of Art.

See everything Downtown Corpus Christi has to offer on a SegCity Segway Tour. Become an expert on all things Corpus Christi…listen to the tunes of Selena, take a ride through the Solar System and race your friends through Heritage Park! If you can stand up, you can ride a Segway—no experience necessary!

Enjoy a relaxing ride aboard the Japonica, the 50 foot, open-touring boat, at Harrison's Landing. The sights and sounds of the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina and city skyline come alive while floating through the Corpus Christi Bay.

Bonus: Bring your own food and drink aboard the Japonica. Pack your meal and hop on the boat!
