The 34th Annual Harbor Lights Festival on Saturday, December 1, 2018, is Corpus Christi's unique celebration to light up the holiday season in the Downtown Bayfront! This long-standing public tradition in Corpus Christi kicks off the holiday season with a kids parade, The Santa Express and so much more. Santa’s here! Grab the kiddos and head to La Palmera Shopping Mall to get a picture with Santa Claus. Make sure your kid’s wish list is complete so they can give it to Santa as they sit on his lap. Aurora Arts Theatre presents a heartwarming new holiday classic GLITZ: The Little Miss Christmas Pageant Musical! The play gives a behind-the-scenes look at the backstabbing mothers and fiercely competitive daughters in the ‘Little Miss Christmas Pageant,’ an annual competition where ten girls (and their outrageous stage moms) compete for the coveted Christmas crown. On December 8, 15 and 22, enjoy some nice warm wassail as you explore five historical cemeteries in Corpus Christi. What in the world is wassail you may ask? Fun fact: wassail is an activity and a beverage that originated in England many moons ago. Traditionally, villagers would gather around their apple trees on the 12th day of Christmas while singing and toasting with wassail to the good health of the apple trees.
