Get Ready for the City of Corpus Christi Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration Fireworks Show!

Come watch live along our gorgeous Bayfront!

The City of Corpus Christi is teaming up with presenting sponsor H-E-B for the Mayor’s 2021 4th of July Big Bang Fireworks Show. Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, the free H-E-B night-time starbursts will be set off from a barge located in the Corpus Christi Bay just north of People’s Street T-Head.

The public is encouraged to come downtown and enjoy the show! Shoreline Blvd. will be closed to traffic to ensure pedestrian safety.

The show will run 20-21 minutes and be choreographed to music on local radio stations including 92.7FM, 95.5PM, and 1440AM. The public can also view the show on www.Facebook.com/CITYGOV. To protect the health and safety of members of the public, attendees are encouraged to stay home if they feel sick and wash their hands often. Enjoy Corpus Christi While You Wait for the Big Show!

  • BBQ cook-off at Nueces Brewing Company (401 S Water Street) starting on Friday, July 2 with judging and the announcement of the winner on Saturday, July 3.
  • The Mayor’s Cup Regatta held in front of the Lawarnce T-head (400A N Shoreline Blvd.) The Mayor’s Cup will be held on Saturday, July 3, from 10 a.m. – noon. For the best viewing area, head to the south end of the Lawrence Street T-Head.  
  • A very special patriotic ceremony at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park, hosted by the Mayor’s Committee for Veteran’s Affairs at 222 S. Shoreline Blvd.
  • Corpus Christi Food Truck Summer Fest serving wonderful dishes that will delight your appetite kicks off at noon on July 4 and ends at 10 p.m. The event will also have a Summer Fest Family Fun Zone with live music, arts and crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, and other family friendly activities at The Water’s Edge Park (602 S Shoreline Blvd).
