Letter to our Visitors: We Are Here for You
Dear Valued Visitors,
We know that travel is the last thing on your mind right now. You’re worried about your family and friends…and social distancing. We are too. But we’re also here for you. At Visit Corpus Christi, our visitors are our friends and family. We invite you to come visit us year after year and you never disappoint. Right now, we miss you. Your pictures and stories have always made us smile and we look forward to those times again and hope you do as well.
With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the incredible speed at which things are changing around us, we have prioritized keeping you informed and updated with important travel information, here.
Everyone has said it, but these truly are unprecedented times that will forever be transcribed in the history books. Without the support of our community, we would social distance ourselves into solitude. So let’s hold on to hope and keep the spirit of togetherness alive. If you are like us and spending most of your day at home right now, you are thinking of happier times past and present. You are also probably looking for ways to have safe outdoor experiences.
We want you to know that Corpus Christi can be your calm in the chaos. Spend some time planning your next Corpus Christi trip and daydream away. Whether that trip is this weekend or in the future, our 22 miles of beaches, secluded state parks and nature reserves, and unlimited water opportunities are here for you.
Lighten the newsfeed and share your favorite Corpus Christi memories with the world using #SeeCC. Let’s share the good times and bring some sunshine to those who can’t get to the Coast. We can’t save tourism without you and the world needs some positivity right now.
Here are some ways you can peacefully practice social distancing while in Corpus Christi.
We have suspended operations of the Visitor Information Center but you can still get in touch with us by phone at 361-561-2000 or through Facebook Messenger at m.me/VisitCorpusChristi.
Most importantly, we want you to be safe and follow all of the expert recommendations. Wash your hands, cover your cough, etc. But we also want to encourage one another to embrace the beauty of the outdoors. Step outside, feel the sand under your feet, the Gulf Breeze on your skin and take a deep fresh breath. We’ve got your back and we are here for you when you’re ready.
