Festivals

Rockin K' Farms

This highly anticipated annual fall festival runs late September through November and attracts families from all over the Coastal Bend. Enjoy photo ops, delicious food and drinks, over 20 attractions, an iconic five-foot wide, wheelchair-accessible maze, and more. Get the whole family together and treat everyone to a memorable tradition.

Dia de los Muertos Festival

Recognized as one of the nation’s top Dia de Los Muertos celebrations, our local festival brings life, music, and culture to the downtown community. Honor and celebrate this annual tradition with us, on Saturday, October 28, from 3 PM – midnight, in the midst of vendors and food trucks lining the streets, sugar skulls galore, costumes at every turn, arts and crafts, ofrendas, and lots of music. There’s also a Children’s Corner, where kids can let loose and have their fun their own way as they climb, paint, jump, and more.

Outdoors

Water Dog Witches Paddles

Put on your witchiest gear (black outfit, witch hat, and cape) and join yogis for the annual SUP Witches Paddles event where witches will learn to use their core, back, and shoulders to paddle more efficiently and effectively. This spell-binding event will be held by Water Dog Yoga on Saturday, October 28 at 9 AM, and Sunday, October 29 at 9 AM, and 5:30 PM.

Monster Mash Cupcake Dash

Monsters, lace up your shoes and let’s race. Choose from a 2 mile, 5k, and 10k race that allows your inner beast to run free and enjoy a cupcake at the finish line. There will be a DJ, Kids Zone, recovery tent, and the opportunity to learn how mental health can impact our community. Funds will be used to increase access to mental health services by providing counseling to uninsured families. The race will be held on Saturday, October 21, at 7:30 AM, at Water’s Edge Park.

Haunted Houses

Fright Night Haunted House

Are you brave enough for an extreme, ultra-realistic, and detailed haunted house experience? Known as one of the top haunted houses in the country, the 10,000 square foot attraction’s level of detail, set design, and effects combined with their impressive actors and incredible makeup effects can only be compared to a Hollywood movie, and it changes every year, so you never know what to expect. Available every weekend between October 6-31, from 7 PM – 11 PM.

Haunting on the Blue Ghost

Take a chance on a terrifying tour that takes brave souls through over 80 compartments on two decks of the USS Lexington, a WWII-era aircraft carrier, including spaces never opened to the public. Prepare to handle steep ladders, dark corridors, creaky hatchways, unimaginable sights, screams, and sounds, and stay after hours for a guided Late-Night Paranormal Investigations tour. Available every Friday and Saturday, between October 6-31, from 7 PM – 10:30 PM.

The Hauntings of Boogeyman Haunted House

For the ultimate bone-chilling experience, head to FM 666 for a not-so-average haunted house experience. This event shares many haunted facts and historical hair-raising details followed by a tour up the road of a haunted cemetery, formerly the site of the Texas Revolution, for sightings of ghosts and ghouls awaiting your arrival.  Available every weekend, between September 29-October 31, from 8 PM – Midnight.
