Dog Friendly Beaches in Corpus Christi

The Padre National Seashore – sponsored by the U.S. Parks and Services – is a safe nesting ground for sea turtles and more than 380 bird species, extending 70 miles on the coastline separating the Gulf of Mexico from the Laguna Madre.
Its beaches are dog-friendly, however they must be on a leash and accounted for (no roaming) to ensure the safety of the sea turtles. The beautiful beaches of Padre Island are a fantastic place to bring your furry friends.

Port Aransas Beach is a place your dog will absolutely love! He/she won’t just be allowed on the beach, but also in the water to ride on boats or kayaks. Dogs are allowed off leash at this beach on the Coastal Bend for a morning jog, fetch, sand crab hunting and all other types of activities.
Port Aransas Beach features a large pier extending over 500 feet into the water for designated fishing spots. Overnight camping is also allowed.

Cole Park is a large, family-friendly park with access to pet-friendly waters. It features a playground, amphitheater with live music, walking trail and ample grass space for both your family and pets to enjoy a picnic or game of volleyball.
