Swimming with Bears

Genre - Alternative Soul

After opening for Weezer and Panic! At The Disco in June of 2017, Swimming With Bears is set to embark on their first ever national tour. With a newly released, self-titled EP, which features lead single “Shiver and Crawl” and produced by Matt Novesky (Blue October), Swimming With Bears brings that Austin indie music scene to Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra presents Star Spangled Banner Salute

Enjoy an evening of classical music in a tribute to United States Veterans. Guest Pianist, Sean Chen, and Bass-Baritone, Keron Jackson, will join the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music Director, Hector Guzman. This concert will feature patriotic (and beautiful!) music from American composers Bernstein, Williams, Barber, Hammerstein, Gershwin, and more!

Wendell Kimbrough is a songwriter and worship leader in southern Alabama who believes church music should simply be good music that forms us as we sing it together. Drawing on the sounds of American folk and soul music, Wendell writes scripturally-rich songs with singable, memorable melodies.

With Urban/Latin Roots, Mexicana is one of the most progressive up and coming acts of the decade. Mexicana tracks blend elements of hip-hop, rock, mariachi and electronica into their music. Mexicana has broken the boundaries of traditional Latin music by adding a unique spin to their formula. You can expect to hear booming 808's, old school loops, electronic sounds combined with heavy guitars and pounding drums. The addition of mariachi instruments creates a powerful sound that is sure to spread across all genres of music lovers. Spanish/English rap lyrics by the female lead vocalist Mexicana, and backing rap verses by Beatzilla and Rhino finalize the power trios music style.

E.N. Young’s sole mission in life is to make sweet reggae music and spread it across the globe to inspire others.   House of Rock brings the former Tribal Seeds singer to Corpus Christi after setting the roots reggae genre ablaze with his unique and distinct sound. “Reggae music for a lot of people changed their life,” says E.N. Young in an interview with Top Shelf Reggae. “And it’s a positive, uplifting music that really hits people.”
