The Raw Bar

Healthy meals and a fast food restaurant don’t often go hand-in-hand, but The Raw Bar is changing that. With two locations in Corpus Christi, one in the Del Mar District and another on Saratoga Blvd, they promote healthy eating by offering a wide variety of smoothies, juices, and smoothie bowls.

Both locations are open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, so you can stop by in the morning to start your day or swing by in the early afternoon for an extra boost of energy. Be sure to take advantage of their specials with $5 drinks every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and $6 bowls every Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you’re looking to take it easy and stay for a little while, stay tuned. The Raw Bar will soon start accepting reservations!

Zambra Fusion Cafe

When you’re on vacation in Corpus Christi you might spend your time relaxing on the beach or exploring our many unique attractions. When you need to break for lunch, the Zambra Fusion Cafe is the perfect place to grab a quick bite in the middle of the day. The best part is that this is another healthy option.

Located in Southside, the Zambra Fusion Cafe specializes in organic and natural food. Their menu includes smoothies, sandwiches, baked goods, and salads with all homemade dressings as well as vegan and vegetarian options. Keep your eyes open for daily specials that are posted regularly on their Facebook page.

Andy’s Country Kitchen

There is nothing more Texas than some good southern cooking, and Andy’s Country Kitchen doesn’t disappoint. They’re open seven days a week and serve all-day breakfast as well as Mexican-inspired dishes, traditional diner fare, and a number of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you find yourself in the Southside of Corpus Christi this is one spot you won’t want to pass up. Everything is reasonably priced and along with daily lunch specials, they also offer complimentary blueberry muffins for everyone!

Whataburger Sign

You’ve probably seen this famous burger chain elsewhere, but what you might not know is it has strong ties to Corpus Christi. There are three locations including one on Staples Street, one on Baldwin Blvd and one on North Shoreline Drive. Although none of these locations are the original Whataburger, the chain was founded in 1950 right here in Corpus Christi and is still owned by the same family!

If you’re visiting from outside of Texas, Whataburger is a definite must! This fast food favorite is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Despite the name, other menu items include chicken sandwiches, salads, desserts, and shakes. The North Shoreline Drive location offers outdoor seating right on the Bay and is the only two-story Whataburger in the country. Stop by for a quick bite of tasty food and local history!

One of the best parts about any vacation is trying new dishes and restaurants you can’t find at home. Whether you’re looking for a healthy, savory or rich bite to eat, these tasty and quick stops are perfect for keeping you on track to make the most of your Corpus Christi vacation.
